Campuses open finally?

Campuses open for work in the near future? QS January 2021 reseach show encouraging signs.

No doubt, one of the worst legacies of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak is the closing of the classrooms on campus, thus excluding students from badly-sought campus life.

So when will campuses open again?

According to a recent survey published by QS #hopeforthefuturee : how universities are identifying emerging opportunities in 2021, and based upon 525 responses given by higher educational professionals, the answer is August 2021 or later.

Here are the results:

January 2021: 6%

February: 9%

March: 3%

April: 5%

May: 7%

June: 5%

July: 8%

August or later: 54%

What about Italy? Here, the PM’s decree rules that HEIs cannot open their classes before February 2021.

In that case, each institution will autonomously decide how to open their premises up. Some seemingly will open only for first years students, be them BA’s or MA’s, based on quotas, upon booking by students themselves.

Meanwhile, University of World News reports further campuses lockdowns ahead.
