NAFSA 2021 will be held online, like most conferences in this COVID-19 era.

The 2020 edition was the first held online, so NAFSA is not new to this kind of endeavour.

This all-virtual NAFSA 2021 Annual Conference and Expo will take place on the theme “Designing our Shared Future”.

The focus is on how international educators design new ways to engage the global community in building bridges and responding to the needs of the next generation.

Attendees can collaborate virtually in vital conversations with peers from around the world and discover the latest strategies and best practices for the field.

As usual, workshops are neither free nor cheap (prices around € 200 each). Still, some may be worth attending (check here). Since NAFSA 2021 will be held online, workshops will be online too.

One of the focuses is on online student recruitment through data-driven market analysis. During the workshop, participants identify ways to empower staff to seek and initiate international engagement to meet their institution’s goals. The workshop also covers how to improve negotiations through a deeper understanding of cross-cultural communication and the request for proposal (RFP) process.
